The mud wasn't too bad this year but the rain! Sheesh.. I think it rained for 30+ days straight. The sun is shining now though so I won't complain. Winter is Lonnnnnnnnnnnnngggggggggggggg but I love the fire place so we deal. It did get old in late Feb/early March. Now it's black fly season.... joy of joys.... ah well.. it's not a home it's an adventure Nan

Enjoyed your journal. Reminds me of when we lived in Maine, '78-'89. You like the same things about Maine I do. My husband and I have been doing Atkins for 3 years now. He's better at it than I am. But, basically, we think it's a pretty healthy way to eat, so long as you don't go extreme for very long. You have beautiful jewelry. How do you like the mud/spring season this year?

Happy and Beautiful Spring
I've been working in the garden and getting the gallery ready for the season. Last night I made Cream of Fiddlehead soup...just like cream of asparagus but used fiddleheads... it was pretty yummy. The fiddleheads were locally wild crafted (picked in the wild nearby.)
Revisiting one of my pet peeves - the newest email spam/scam I've started to get is trying a new approach... insulting the recipient. The subject line goes like this - "you have a stupid face there [insert your email name here]". Now I was not foolish enough to actually open this mail and I don't care what the flying Fig they are selling but I was amazed at the approach. Maybe when my customers come into the gallery I should greet them with a hearty "my don't you look shitty today!" LOL.... I really don't get it.
Anyyyyyyyywayyyyyyyyyy.....
The hummingbirds are back and today I saw my first beautiful yellow butterfly. I've got to find an excuse to get out of this dark cave of an office and garden

I've gotten an even better insulting spam email. The subject line is just "Asshole!"... I guess they think you'll be so curious you'll open it. EVEN if I did open it, I would not BUY anything they are selling... would WOULD? I just don't get it.
