Betty: I ,too, moved from the city to rural and did not bring the bright lights - I like dark at night. Can turn them on or off. Do dichroic, chains, beading, faceting, PMC. How do you do dichroic by correspondance?
ANNE: I AM SEARCHED FOR A CABLE TYPE STEEL NECKLACE WITH A MAGNETIC CLASP. CAN ANYONE HELP ME? THANK YOU
Nancy: Hey Beth: Don't worry, I cry at commericals some times... LOL
Beth: I don't know what possessed me to write this as I never write to people I don't know, but I have just ordered a dragon's tears bracelet and can't wait to get it. Hopefully it will bring me some good luck & magic in 2006. For some odd ball reason I started reading your journal and got to the pictures of your new puppy and the Northern Lights. How breathtaking they must be in person. It actually brought tears to my eyes, but then I am a little overly sensitive these days as my husband & I were

Winter is Lonnnnnnnnnnnnngggggggggggggg but I love the fire place so we deal. It did get old in late Feb/early March. Now it's black fly season.... joy of joys.... ah well.. it's not a home it's an adventure Nan
Becky: Enjoyed your journal. Reminds me of when we lived in Maine, '78-'89. You like the same things about Maine I do. My husband and I have been doing Atkins for 3 years now. He's better at it than I am. But, basically, we think it's a pretty healthy way to eat, so long as you don't go extreme for very long. You have beautiful jewelry. How do you like the mud/spring season this year?
Kandice: Beautiful journal!! I love all the pictures. :)
A Sparks: Thanks, Nan, for the pictures. Skippy is a handsome dude, and I expect he knows it. The Northern Lights are awesome. But cold.
PieLTang: So sorry to learn that Greg had an accident almost broke his finger by a log, but it surely is extremely painful, hope the doctor gave him some medicines to ease the pain, I pray that he is going to get better soon.Good Luck with your shows at Seattle and San Francisco.Love to all, Mom
hkmouse: Hi! I seem to have found your blog. I have no idea how you function in a Maine winter. Orange county, California is as far north as I ever want to live!
Arianna: I like the part about your cats tail catching on fire!
Nancy: A Tag board is a place to leave a quick note... say hi... etc.. you can also post replies to the journal entries.....

Fall is here again

Another trip around the sun! Fall is here again and I've given in and turned on the heat.  We've 'done' the Common Ground Fair in Unity, Maine and what a wonderful event that is.  Takes me a week to recover tho.  We have one more retail show coming up the first weekend in November down in Boston.  Another year is closer to ending than it seems!

I haven't been doing any deep thinking lately <grin> but rather just trying to get thru the tasks at hand such as cleaning out the pantry/laundry room, getting the last of the garden taken care of, keeping up with my daughter and her school work and getting those orders out the door.  I've been neglecting my family a little - those who live away - and I've got to get back on the stick and make some phone calls. That little nagging feeling in the back of the head needs to be put to rest. I don't know about you but I haven't done ONE SINGLE THING to get ready for the upcoming year end holidays either. The pressure is on!

One of the cats has what I think is Cystitis (can't spell that) and I've ordered an herbal formula for her, poor baby.  Lost a few quail to a predator before we found a small hole in the cage.  It will be time to move the quail indoors soon as they winter over in the barn just outside the studio door.  They are so small that I don't like to leave them out in the elements.  Also found a pair of bats nesting in the top of the barn but we left them alone - they are welcome to stay as they eat lots of bad things. I lost one of my cats, Baby, last week. She just didn't come home. Couldn't find any sign of her poor thing.

I need to start working on my xmas designs... heck... I need to start working on Valentine's day designs!!! Always have to think 6 months ahead and that's not always easy when I'm still trying to get thru the day at hand....

Well that's all for today.  Take care of youselves and your loved ones.

~Nan
